Dynamic Earth
Dynamic Earth is a unique science and cultural learning resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds with the story of Earth and the worldwide impact of Scottish scientists. Since opening in 1999 Dynamic Earth has welcomed over 5 million visitors, many of which have come from school and youth groups.
The aim of Dynamic Earth is to be accessible, entertaining and innovative and encourage lifelong learning by communicating in a manner which has relevance to all.
Dynamic Earth is proud to be a holder of a VisitScotland 5 Star accolade and is a Gold award attraction with the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
A visit to Dynamic Earth is like nothing else on Earth. It's a chance to experience the primeval forces of nature as they shaped our planet, to journey through space and time and even go on a 4DVENTURE around the world. You'll be embarking on the interactive adventure of a lifetime - the lifetime of our planet. Experience films as you've never seen - or felt them - before in the ShowDome Cinema with its 360 degree digital dome technology and thunderous surround sound.

Located strategically in Edinburgh City Centre, next to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and the Scottish Parliament at the bottom of the Royal Mile, Dynamic Earth is easily accessible from Waverley train station on foot, around 15 minutes or a short taxi ride.
